Hey that's me, with two of my friend from Kenya, Pastor Amos and Pastor Jehosaphat.
My name is Neal Montgomery, and I will be one of the two leaders on this trip. We are under a month to training camp, so I'll keep this relatively short since you will meet me in person before long. I go to the University of Kansas, I'm studying Math and English, I'm 21 years old, I love to run and I am a big supporter of V-necks.
I first went on a trip with AIM almost two years ago, it was a Real Life(now called Passport) trip to Kenya for about three months. It was the first place I experienced being in the presence of the Lord, I worked through a lot of doubts and other struggles through the support of my team. It was an amazing time, God used it to do so much in me. After coming back from Kenya I went back to school, got connected with a solid community of believers and grew a lot in maturity in my walk with God. Then that following summer I led a highschool trip through AIM to Bolivia. God broke so many things off of me at the leader training camp for that trip and called me into more of my manhood and how to walk as His son. About a month after returning from Bolivia I led a Passport trip back to Kenya, we were there for three and a half months. I got back from last December, once again God had been faithful to teach me many things while in Kenay. It was a huge blessing to be able to return to see my old friends and do ministry with the same people a year later. I'm currently in school again, and now I will be going with all of you to Honduras for two months.
It's going to be an awesome trip, I know the Lord will do great things in and through us.
You can ask me questions if you want, I may or may not answer them. It's good not to know everything. Here are a couple tips though. Sign up as a frequent flyer for whatever airline we are taking down to Honduras. If I had done that before my first trip I would have about 80,000 miles, but alas I do not have those miles. Second thing, bring little gatorade/crystal ligh packets to put in your water bottle. They are great, and you will get sick of water.
